Help Amanda Save Face
Amanda Ash (Amanda Brandt) lives every day with a complex and painful genetic critical illness. She is grateful to be alive and a loving mother of two supportive teens. They have fought a continuous uphill battle of strokes, surgeries, and a near fatal brain clot. These medical ailments have resulted in loss of cognitive function, an increase in seizures, and balance issues that resulted in multiple falls and broken bones. After a particularly serious fall in 2020, Amanda is in urgent need of a series of oral maxillofacial and orthodontic procedures to preserve the function of her jaw, including her top bone and teeth. Amanda also requires an ADA certified Service Dog to increase the safety, quality, and longevity of her life. As the single mother, they literally live at the poverty on her PERA Disability (Colorado State Employees version of Social Security), and her children do not currently receive child support. The necessary medical procedures and service dog are not covered under her Medicaid and she can no longer qualify for medical loans. Amanda relies on assistive devices, home healthcare, and lots of love. Please consider helping her get to this next chapter of life.
