Help Amanda Recover from Surgery Complications

On February 11, 2022, after waiting for almost a year, Amanda underwent surgery for diverticulitis. She was initially sent home after surgery on February 19. Unfortunately, there were complications, and she had to be brought back to hospital for emergency surgery just days later, on February 23.

Amanda is still in the hospital, having recently gone through a third surgery.

Prior to surgery, Amanda bravely powered through the last year of being sick while still working full time, but when things worsened a month prior to surgery, she had to go on disability. Sadly, Amanda is not currently able to work and at this point, we are not sure when she will be medically cleared to return to work. She continues to be in severe pain with next to no mobility and we still don't know when she will be released from the hospital.

Amanda is looking at a rough road to recovery and it is likely to be several additional months before she is able to return to her job. Between the loss of income and the pending medical bills, Amanda needs her community to rally around her and her children and offer their support.
