Hello everyone, my name is Crystal. I am Amanda Ockert’s sister. She was recently involved in a severe car accident on March 10, 2025, and is currently facing a long, lengthy, and challenging road to recovery.

What seemed like a normal day. turned horrific in the blink of an eye! Her son was driving her to pick up her vehicle so she could get to her second job. Out of nowhere another vehicle pulled out in front of them, causing Austin’s vehicle to spin out of control causing significant damage to both vehicles. Austin has suffered from severe concussion and lacerations to his face. While Amanda had to be extricated from the vehicle suffered significant injuries including a broken hip, broken toe, pelvis, and outer femur, as well as a forehead laceration sustained when her head went through the windshield. We are extremely grateful that her and her son survived this horrific ordeal, but her recovery will be a long, stressful road ahead of them.

She has had surgery to repair her injuries and is currently waiting and praying to be approved to go into a rehabilitation facility that will help her regain her strength and ability to walk without assistance. The medical expenses and ongoing costs associated with Amanda's recovery are overwhelming. She will be forced to take a leave of absence from work, resulting in a loss of income. She will be faced with tremendous medical bills on top of her livelihood uprooted as she is a mom trying to maintain a home for her children. Stress alone can hinder her healing process. She is a very strong, humbled woman who will be the last to ask for help. Yet the first to offer it….We are hoping to raise funds to help alleviate the financial burden, and help enable Amanda to focus on her recovery.

Amanda is an exceptionally outgoing and compassionate individual who works diligently every day showing children are her world. She would assist anyone in need without hesitation. She is the best mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, friends to anyone whose met her!!
