The Rancho HS Wrestling Team (Las Vegas, Nevada) asks for your support. A senior member of our team, Amanda, suffered a life-changing neck injury while wrestling in a varsity match. The injury resulted in paralysis, surgery, and a long road to recovery. Amanda has begun the rehabilitation process and set an ambitious goal of walking at graduation. Her goal surprised everyone, even the medical team. As her wrestling coach and friend, I'm organizing this fundraiser to help Amanda walk across the stage at graduation in May.
I want to share some information about Amanda and what makes her special. Amanda is a humble, multi-talented young woman with a big future. Despite her accomplishments and successes, she's egoless and shares her talents with her peers on the mat and in the classroom. Amanda is enrolled in Rancho High School's Aviation Program and a member of JROTC. She holds a 4.914 Bonus GPA and will graduate in the top 5% of her class. She plans to attend the University of Nevada-Reno in the fall and study Nursing. In 2020 as a sophomore, Amanda won 3rd place in Nevada's Women's State Wrestling Tournament and has terrorized the Men's divisions ever since. This season as a senior, she held a winning record in varsity competition before her campaign to state ended. Her injury gave the boys in the 120 lbs weight class and their fathers a big sigh of relief.
Please consider donating to this fundraiser for Amanda and others,
