How Did It Happen?
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the life of Amanda Thalia Orozco Montañez (24), wife of Gino Arvelo and mother of Amelia and Patrizia, was suddenly interrupted by a medical emergency. Amanda suffered a sudden collapse at her home during what seemed like a routine afternoon. Amanda was rushed to the emergency room at the Razetti Hospital in Barinas, presenting with a seizure, disorientation, and involuntary movements. Following several examinations, the diagnosis was a Severe Spontaneous Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH)—a sudden and severe bleeding around her brain.

What is Happening to Amanda?
According to the neurosurgery report, Amanda is being evaluated for a possible aneurysmal vascular lesion, an extremely serious condition. Her current condition is delicate and requires immediate action. At this moment, the priority is to secure the necessary funds for specialized studies (such as a 4-vessel cerebral angiography) and the initiation of her definitive treatment, which will be determined by the neurosurgery team.

What is the Family Situation?
Gino and Amanda have been married for five years and have two daughters. They live in the city of Barinas and, unfortunately, their family support network in this small city is almost nonexistent. Gino is trying to balance caring for his daughter with the hours of distress at the hospital, while shouldering a financial burden that is impossible for him to cover alone. The emotional pressure, combined with the urgent need to pay for the angiography and the daily expenses of the ICU, is becoming unsustainable for him.

How Can You Help?
Every donation, no matter how small, is a breath of life for Amanda and fundamental support for her husband and daughters. DHC will be matching every donation dollar-for-dollar to help reach the surgery cost. The funds raised will be exclusively allocated to:

* Critical Tests and Studies: Covering the cost of the 4-vessel cerebral angiography for an accurate diagnosis.
* Treatment and Hospitalization: Funding the medication, supplies, and daily care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
* Recovery: Eventual therapies and rehabilitation Amanda will need after surgery and/or treatment.

Please, we ask for your help to save Amanda. If you cannot donate, please help us share this story with all your contacts. Time is crucial. Thank you for your support and generosity!
