Hi, my name is May. I’m from Brazil, but I currently live in London, and I’m fundraising to help my best friend, Amanda, who is currently battling cancer.

Amanda was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in November 2025. Despite going through chemotherapy, the disease has unfortunately continued to progress, and all treatment options available through the public healthcare system in Brazil have been exhausted.

She now urgently needs access to a new treatment that could help her. Her family is currently in a judicial process to obtain this medication through the public system, but we simply cannot afford to wait any longer for a decision while her condition continues to worsen.

The treatment costs around R$50,000 (approximately £7,000) privately, which is far beyond what her family can afford. That’s why I’m here, asking for your help.

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. If you’re donating in pounds, it helps even more due to the exchange rate (around £1 = R$7), which means your support can go even further in helping cover her treatment.

Her family and friends are also organizing local fundraisers in Brazil, but we still need all the help we can get.
