It means so much that you’re here! This is a story about love, hope, and resilience — and two people I care about deeply who need a little help on the road to becoming parents.
I’m Sydney, and I’ve known Amanda for over 20+ years—we’ve grown up together, from childhood best friends into the kind of adult friendship that feels more like chosen family. I’ve known Mike for nearly a decade and lucky to call him my friend as well. Watching them grow together as a couple has been a gift.
Amanda is the most caring, selfless person I know. She has a natural warmth and a joyful, youthful spirit—especially with kids. She’s a teacher both by profession and by nature. Mike’s laugh is contagious, and the way he loves Amanda for exactly who she is makes me love him too. He’s steady, kind, hard working and deeply thoughtful.
This journey to parenthood is their calling, and I’ve seen firsthand how deeply they long to become parents. If I can help ease their path—even a little—I will. That’s why I’m sharing their story with you. They deserve every joy that parenthood brings, and I truly believe the child who ends up in their arms will be one of the luckiest.
Thank you for reading, donating, or simply sending love their way. Every bit of support matters.
Forever cheering them on!
AMANDA & MIKE'S STORY:
" It is difficult to ask for help, and yet here we are. We ask that you receive this with kindness and compassion, knowing how deeply we desire to grow our family. We never imagined quite how hard this would prove to be. We humbly and optimistically ask for your support.
After getting married in 2021, Mike and I were so excited to start a family. We had completed our education, bought a home with room to grow and most importantly, built a strong foundation in one another. For the first several months, we tried without pressure, trusting the process and staying hopeful.
As the months continued to pass with no success, we began our search for answers. My bloodwork came back normal and we moved forward with an HSG test. This revealed that my right fallopian tube was completely blocked. While it was nice to have some answers, it wasn’t the news we were hoping for. Another test showed I had a great egg reserve, and Mike’s sperm analysis came back with positive results. We did our best to remain hopeful.
In between the tests and appointments, we did research of our own. Trying out supplements, mucinex, lotions and potions. The internet is a crazy place when you're trying to get pregnant. I left my in-person teaching job thinking it might help reduce stress. We took a vacation. We were told that time and rest should be enough.
After moving to Brownsburg in 2023, I began working with a wonderful OB-GYN. Through another round of tests, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). An ultrasound revealed a healthy uterus with no other clear obstacles. We tried three months of Letrozole and nine months of Clomid, but unfortunately, none resulted in pregnancy. At this point, our doctor let us know that we'd exhausted all the options she could offer.
Now we are working with Indiana Fertility Institute and feel confident and hopeful that this will lead us to fulfilling our dream. Unfortunately, the cost of our treatment plan is nearly $30,000 and our insurance will not cover it. Your help in lessening the weight of this financial burden would be a great blessing to us.
This experience has tested us in ways we never imagined. Throughout the last four years, our friends and family have been our lifeline. Consistently checking in and reminding us that we’re not alone. Your love has helped carry us through some of our hardest days and we’re so thankful for every message, hug and moment of support. We are truly grateful for you.
If you feel called to give, share, or offer kind words, we are deeply grateful. Every bit helps bring us closer to the family we've been dreaming of.
With our deepest gratitude,
Mike and Amanda "
