You never know what life will throw at you sometimes. This fundraiser is for Amanda Rader, wife of Mike Rader, one of our employees here at O'Hanlon Seed & Irrigation in Lexington, NE. Although Amanda and her husband Mike are very proud people and didn't want any assistance, we are determined to help them get back on their feet and start healing. The good news is, they have decided to allow us to lend a hand. In the first part of March 2022, Amanda's sons' mental condition got the best of him, and he heard voices in his head. He took a gun, went to the house, where Amanda was sitting on the couch working and began shooting at her. We are thankful Amanda's life was spared but not before a bullet go her arm and grazed her hip. The aftermath left her traumatized. Amanda is a tattoo artist and earns her living with her right arm. That's the arm that took the bullet. She had appointments scheduled through June and now has no income. Along with this, she is now back home and there are bullets in the furniture and the walls that has her reliving the event. We would like to help get new furniture, help them remodel the house to change the layout, and to assist Amanda with medical expenses, loss of income, and rehab. You never know what life throws at you, and you never know if it might be you. We'd more than appreciate your help to help her get back on her feet.
