Help Amanda Kick Oral Cancer In The Mouth
Donation protected

Hello friends and family, As many of you know I work with some of the most amazing nurses ever, and I consider each and everyone of my coworkers family. With that, my sweet friend Amanda has recently been diagnosed with oral cancer. “I made a rare decision to floss one day, when doing so I noticed a strange inflammatory growth/bump on my gums below my teeth in the front. Biopsies came back with what we think could be ameloblastoma or clear cell odontgenic carcinoma, which cannot be fully confirmed until the tumor is removed completely. Fortunately (I guess), both diagnoses are treated similarly with radical removal of tumor and surrounding areas.” The first of “at least” 3 surgeries begin in early February with most likely a lengthy stay at the hospital in the interim in which they will remove part of her jaw, several teeth and gum tissue. Later they will reconstruct her jaw with one of her fibulas and dental implants. This will have Amanda off work for several weeks while she is at home recovering. I am starting this go fund me page to help cover medical cost, dental implants (which are not covered by insurance), and any other expenses that may arise to help alleviate the stress during this time. Please consider donating and spreading the word to help Amanda kick oral cancer in the mouth! And most importantly please keep Amanda and her family in your thoughts and prayers!! -Christi
