Help Amanda in her fight against breast cancer

Hi friends. We are raising funds for our beautiful friend Amanda Hobbs.

As you’re all aware, at the beginning of September this year Amanda received a diagnosis of Stage 3 Her2+ positive breast cancer, which is quite an aggressive form. Fortunately, although there are some lymph nodes that it has spread to, her PET scan showed it has not spread further.

The past few months have already been a battle for Amanda with 6 rounds of chemotherapy down and another 10 weekly sessions to go. All followed by surgery, radiation and possible additional chemo.

As part of her treatment, Amanda has commenced with an anti cancer drug called Pergeta, which is unfortunately not covered by the PBS. Thankfully the drug company will cover 3/4 of the cost, however even with 75% covered, it will still cost Amanda and Trent about $6,000.

For those of you that have been fortunate to have Amanda in your life, you know that she is the most generous and giving person- her heart and home are always open, she is always ready to offer support or a shoulder to cry on in hard times, or a laugh when you are feeling down.

We want to show Amanda how loved and appreciated she is, and give back to someone who has always unquestionably given so much. She truly is one in a million.

These funds will be mainly used to cover the cost of Pergeta, as well as medical expenses she will incur within treatment and complementary therapies to aid in her healing and recovery.

So many people have offered help and it is very much appreciated and any contribution you are able to make, no matter how small, would mean the world. It takes a village!
