Hi, my name is Amanda, I’m 25 years old, and I’m a proud mom to twin girls, Myla and Mira. They are my sunshine, my strength, and the reason I keep fighting every single day.

But behind every smile I put on for them, I’ve been carrying a body that has been battling a long, mysterious illness since 2015 and for years, I was brushed off and left without answers.

It all started when I was just a teenager in 2015. I began experiencing strange, frightening symptoms:

I went to doctors, specialists, and hospitals desperate for answers. Every test came back “normal,” and I was told over and over again: “It’s just anxiety.” Not once did anyone question Lyme, co-infections, mold, or other root causes.

The 2018 Crash

For a while, symptoms came and went in flares. But in 2018, everything changed. I got Epstein-Barr Virus (mono), and that’s when my health completely spiraled. I developed Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST) and POTS symptoms — racing heart, fainting-like episodes, chest pressure, neurological symptoms.

Deep down, I always knew it was more than “just POTS.” My body was clearly fighting something bigger.

Years of Being Failed

For years, I continued searching for help. I saw doctors, specialists, and went through more hospital visits, only to be dismissed or told everything looked “fine.” Meanwhile, I felt like I was losing pieces of myself, too many days stolen by illness.

It felt like I was just surviving instead of living, and at times I sank into deep depression and fear.

This year has been a turning point. Through functional medicine, I finally started getting real answers:
