Sweet Josey boy was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma cancer at the end of November 2023 when he went for a routine check-up with his vet. As many of you know, Hari and I have two absolutely amazing vizslas who are from this phenomenal breeder, and share the same father as Josey. We are sponsoring Josey and expanding the net so that he can get the treatment and care he needs and deserves.
Josey is a three-year old champion of a boy who is loved and cherished by all who know him. He has fathered many tremendous pups and continues to bring us joy and levity even in the throes of fighting cancer and getting chemo. Josey has a long journey ahead of him and we will be behind him, wrapping him in support, care and fighting alongside him to get him every resource he requires.
Josey has already gone for two infusions of chemo, and is on a host of supportive steroids, medication and a nutrient dense diet to support his immune system. As anyone who has a pet can vouch, the costs add up quickly. We would be grateful, especially to our inner community, for some wrap-around support in the way of donations and encouragement. We are determined to give Josey the absolute best fighting chance and cannot wait to share photos of him lounging on couches with his new family once he goes into remission and once, we have a better idea of the most ideal environment for this sweetest, goofy boy!
