Help Amanda Get Back on the Road after Hailstorm

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, a devastating hailstorm swept through Henderson, Texas, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake and causing significant damage to homes, businesses, and cars.

Unfortunately, Amanda's car was among those that were hit the hardest. Her car was pummeled by hailstones as large as baseballs, leaving the hood and roof dented beyond repair, the front windshield and windshield wipers shattered, the back windshield completely destroyed, and the interior of her car soaked with water, leading to extensive water damage. The car is totaled.

As a full-time college student at the University of Texas at Tyler, studying to become a social worker, and working at a senior living home, where she dedicates her time to making a difference in the lives of elderly residents, Amanda's compassion, kindness, and resilience have made her an inspiration to everyone who knows her.

Despite her hard work, she does not make enough money to have enough savings to buy a new car. To make matters worse, her insurance company won't cover the damage because the car's value is no longer sufficient to justify the cost of repairs.

We can't imagine how devastating this must be for Amanda. She cannot attend classes or go to work without a car and there is no public transportation available where she lives.

We all know that Amanda has already faced significant challenges in her life. Despite all of this, she has remained determined to make a positive impact on the world. We believe that supporting good in the world is one of the most important things we can do. So we have hope that there are good people out there who feel the same way and who are willing to lend a hand when times are tough.

As her family, we are creating this Go Fund Me campaign to help Amanda replace her car so we can help her get back on the road and continue to pursue her dreams. Our goal is to raise $25,000, which will cover the cost of a reliable car, insurance, and other associated expenses like registration and fees.
