Help Amanda finish Cosmetology School

Hello. My name is Amanda Gregorio and I’m a cosmetology student at Parisian Beauty Academy. I started school in November of 2019 with my original graduation date being January 2021. I had applied for financial aid and grants (with the help of my mom and my aunt as a co-signer), but I only qualified for financial aid, which left me with a balance to pay out of pocket.

Initially, I worked full time and went to school part time, thinking I’d be able to pay for my tuition. Everything was going well until the pandemic started. I had caught up with all of my school payments, had plans to pay off some debt from a past relationship, and had other plans to get my life back on track. The past year has been rough. I can’t apply for financial aid this year because of issues with my work history and taxes that are currently being dealt with. I also haven’t been receiving unemployment, leaving me with no income. I’m aware there are many other people with financial issues that are trying to keep themselves motivated for school, work, etc. My current graduation date is in April. I’m trying to raise these funds so that I can pay my balance by the end of February or March because I wish to finish school without taking a leave-of-absence.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. This is the path that I need to take. I’ve always had a passion for the beauty industry, but unfortunately, it took me a long time to realize that I should pursue this passion. The people I have met since starting school have been amazing friends and supporters. I’ve won multiple awards and contests at school, such as our Color Wheel Contest, Forward Focus, and Perfect Attendance. I believe the beauty industry is one of the best industries to be in because we can give others confidence. It's amazing to see clients smile at the end of appointments.
