Help Amanda Fight Rapidly Spreading Cancer
Donation protected
Amanda was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on June 3rd, 2025, less than 2 weeks after her 42nd birthday.
She was not feeling herself for several days and went to a walk-in clinic. It was there she was told to go to the ER. After several long, grueling hours, she was seen and it was determined that she had cancer and that it was rapidly spreading and was already in her liver and lungs.
Little did we know how rapidly it was spreading.
She had a biopsy taken and while she waited for her results, her liver was shutting down. At her first oncologist appointment, her doctor noticed she had jaundice and wanted her to get a CT scan immediately to ensure there were no blood clots. While Amanda was waiting for her scans, her doctor was working feverishly to see how she could get a chemo treatment for Amanda that day.
At 11:54, Amanda was back with the doctor, going over her results, and giving her recommendations for moving forward with a treatment that day. The doctor was able to pull many strings and as long as she got Amanda in a chair by noon, she would be able to begin a chemo treatment.
If it wasn't for this doctor, her quick thinking, and willingness to provide the best care, there was a very high possibility that Amanda would not be here with us today.
Update as of 6/24/25: Amanda's liver is doing well and is currently doing 75% chemo dosage treatments.
Amanda's primary support group is her daughter, Keira, who will be 13 in August and is into Japanese culture. Amanda's twin sister, Meg, who has 2 kids, Grey, who loves anything to do with trains, and Emmy who loves to draw, be girly, and watch Ghost Hunters with her Aunt Amanda.
This GoFundMe is to help support Amanda and her family as her medical bills pile up. A single chemo treatment is around $987 and she has already met her insurance deductible for the year.
