Help Amanda fight HCC cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone, we are the King Family my name is Stephen. Let me introduce you to my wife Amanda (41) who has been in my life since I can remember. I grew up with Amanda who lived right around the corner from me for years. Whereby high school she became my best friend. After high school we parted ways in life and did our own thing. After 20 years life brought us back together where we connected again as more than friends and got married.
For 5 years we have struggled with fertility issues where Amanda has had issues getting pregnant and we were unable to expand our family beyond my daughter (10) that I had with my previous marriage. The struggles of learning to be married, joining a blended family, and then having fertility issues I thought would be the peak of our life struggles, I was wrong.
In March of 2023 Amanda was diagnosed with possible late-stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma or HCC. Better known as primary liver cancer. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of events that have led us here. After Amanda’s initial biopsy she contracted a bacterial blood infection that put her in the hospital for 13 days trying to clear her infection to start cancer treatment. At the end of the 13 days, we were sent home on an antibiotic that turns out was known for being hard on the kidneys. After a week out of the hospital she was in stage 5 kidney failure fighting to get her kidneys back online so we can start cancer treatment. She still has what looks to be weeks of dialysis in her future and possibly much more, might even have to do simulations dialysis and cancer treatment.
If you do not know Amanda, you are missing out. She is the most loving and caring person I have ever met in my life. I don’t think I have seen a person with a more positive outlook on life and a more caring attitude towards anyone and anything. No one deserves cancer, but the struggles that Amanda has endured in the past years is enough for 10 lifetimes. Amanda’s strong faith is God is helping her through at this point. We appreciate your continued prayers as we fight to beat this horrible cancer.
We are raising funds for the long and tedious journey that we have ahead of us.
• Lost income as Amanda goes on disability.
• Continued influx of expenses due to the nature of being in and out of hospitals. (Parking, tolls, dinners etc.)
• Ongoing hospital and treatment cost.
Please help is you can and God Bless.
Thank you,
The King Family
