Help Amanda Fight for More Time With Her Babies
Donation protected
Hi my name is Alyssa and I'm raising funds for my amazing strong friend Amanda – a dedicated mum and paramedic who’s always put others first. Now she needs our help.
Our beautiful Amanda is just 44 years old - a vibrant, strong, witty woman, and the fiercely devoted mum of three young children. But just five weeks ago her world was turned upside down. What began as some persistent pain in her left hip and sacroiliac joint - something Amanda initially thought was just an old paramedic injury - led to a routine MRI that changed everything. Instead of a back issue, doctors discovered her bones were riddled with cancer.
After a whirlwind of tests Amanda received the devastating diagnosis - Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, already spread throughout her body. There was no warning sign, no lump, and no time to adjust.
Her cancer isn’t curable, but Amanda is determined to make the most of every moment with her husband Adam and their three young kids - despite the pain, despite the uncertainty.
Amanda and Adam have spent their lives caring for others as paramedics, showing up in people’s darkest moments with strength and compassion. Today, they face their own challenges and need our support.
Despite everything, Amanda remains determined to fight - to cling to every single night she gets to spend with her babies, to soak up every hug, every bedtime story, every messy breakfast, every moment.
Why We Need Your Help.
Amanda and Adam are doing everything they can to keep life stable for their kids, but with both off work - juggling Adam’s knee surgeries, Amanda’s ongoing treatment, frequent travel to Sydney, and the everyday costs of raising three children - the financial burden is overwhelming.
We’re raising funds to:
• Help with travel and accommodation costs for treatment in Sydney
• Cover ongoing medical bills and pain management
• Take the pressure off Amanda and Adam so they can focus on what truly matters: time together as a family making memories
Amanda is the friend who quietly shows up for others, lifting them even when carrying her own burdens. Known for her big heart, stubborn streak, and humour, she finds it hard to ask for help – yet she’s always the first to offer it.
Now, it’s our chance to give back.
Every contribution - big or small - or even just sharing Amanda’s story will make a difference.
Thank you for standing with Amanda and her family during this difficult time.
