Aid Amanda in Escaping Abuse and Finding Peace

Hello everyone, I’m Amanda Zins, a victim of domestic violence while I was married. I left 3 years ago. Unfortunately, my abuser still has most of my things (if he hasn’t thrown them out yet).

I am looking for a good-sized storage unit that I can keep for 6-8 months and a U-Haul to get the rest of my things. I’ve been staying with my 80-year-old mother, and since my dad passed, she wants to move to a smaller home.

He is still living in the house we co-own together and refuses to move, which brings me to my next ask. I need a divorce attorney to get my investment out of that house.

The pictures provided are only a few of the injuries I got from him. The mental and financial abuse was much worse. I was regularly told how stupid I was. I was rarely allowed to spend my own money because he found drugs and alcohol more important than food or cleaning supplies.

I have much more proof of his abuse than I’ve pictured here. He is an alcoholic and a drug addict, on SSI. Most of the money I made at my job was taken by him to buy his drugs and his alcohol—which was often over $500 a month. He would spend that before buying food for ourselves and our 4 cats.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
