Amanda and Brett have been loving parents to their two children since they were just a newborn and two years old. Nearly ten years ago, they completed the adoption process, providing a safe and nurturing home for their young family. Now, after almost a decade, they are facing an unexpected and heartbreaking legal battle. A relative of the children's birth family is fighting for custody, possession, and access to the children, putting Amanda and Brett in a position where they must defend their family in court.
The children have overcome so much in their young lives. Thanks to Amanda and Brett’s love and dedication, they are well adjusted and currently thriving. They are surrounded by a supportive family that includes not only their parents, but also siblings and cousins, all of whom are deeply invested in their happiness and well-being.
The legal fees for this fight have already reached overwhelming levels and continue to grow: more than $90,000. Amanda and Brett are doing everything they can to keep their family together, but the financial burden is immense. These costs are not just numbers—they represent the stability and future of two children who have only ever known Amanda and Brett as their parents.
Amanda has operated the Twin Lakes Child Development Center since 2004, caring for countless children in the community, while Brett has served the City of Leander since 2010. They have always given selflessly to others, and now they need our help. Please pray for Amanda, Brett, and their children. If you are able, especially during this season of giving, your financial support will help them continue their fight to keep their family together.
