One of the earliest photos of Amanda is a picture of her in an American Cancer Society onesie. For her entire life, she’s been dedicated to the fight for a cure. Now, she needs our support in her own personal fight.
Amanda was diagnosed in November 2020 with Stage 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This is a very aggressive cancer - so much that she’s already in her fifth round of chemo. We expect her treatment to last the next 18 months.
That’s 18 months of chemo, surgery, radiation, scans, tests, medication, and appointment after appointment.
On top of her work at Worker Justice Center of New York.
On top of being a new mother.
On top of COVID-19.
It’s a lot.
But the good thing is Amanda doesn’t have to do it alone. She has YOU.
Can you help cover Amanda’s treatment costs by contributing to the $20,000 GoFundMe account we’ve launched for her ?
In her career, Amanda has helped raise millions of dollars to help make the
world a better place. Now her friends and family are stepping up to help make Amanda’s world better by helping cover her enormous treatment costs so she and her awesome husband, Victor, can focus 100% of their energy on Amanda’s health and healing, and their daughter Amelia’s care.
Any amount will help us chip away at our $20,000 fundraising goal. Costs associated with Amanda’s care include copays, scans, surgeries, hospital stays, medication, and tests. But it also includes the cost of daycare so Amelia can be cared for during chemo, transportation and parking costs, meal delivery, housekeeping, dog walking and more.
Because of COVID-19, we can’t go over to Amanda’s house to help with these things. But what we can do is donate to help take some of the financial stress off this very stressful time.
Please support our wonderful friend and sister Amanda by donating what you can. Thank you for your support!
