Help Amanda and Veronica Gore Relocate After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
My name is Kathleen, and I created this GoFundMe to help my daughter and granddaughter who are among the thousands forced to evacuate their homes by the devastating Eaton fire.
Amanda has been a costumer in the Film/TV industry for decades, and has been renting in Pasadena, near Eaton Canyon, where her daughter Veronica attends high school. On Tuesday night at 6:30 pm, the Eaton fire quickly erupted and by 7:15 the embers had reached their street forcing a mandatory evacuation. Without any warning they were able to grab the kittens and quickly fled to safety. After two days of watching the chaos on the news, they went back to see what was left. Sadly, many of their neighbors’ homes were destroyed in the fire. While Amanda’s house did not burn down, the property is uninhabitable because of the damage from the smoke and debris, as well as the water used to protect the surrounding buildings. As they try to salvage some of their personal belongings, we are hoping they can relocate to a house or apartment nearby so Veronica can finish her studies at the same school.
This has been a very challenging time for all of us, but seeing the community bond together gives me hope. If you are able to donate, any amount is much appreciated to help Amanda and Veronica get back on their feet and find a safe place to live. All donations will go directly to the two of them so they can focus on healing from this tragedy. I will keep you updated on the progress of their transition and hope you are all safe and with loved ones.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
