Help Amanda and Kerry with Emergency Expenses
Donation protected
Update 3: As you know, we have been out of our apartment since June. We have been looking for work to help us get back on our feet, but we haven’t had any luck until now. Kerry has taken a position as a visiting assistant professor in Kentucky. We are currently in the Philadelphia area, so we will be moving as quickly as possible to get him there by the start of the fall semester. We are excited for this next chapter, but it is also a stressful and challenging time. We ask for your help and support in any way, and we thank you for your time ❤️
Update 2: We have officially vacated our apartment. We don’t have any permanent housing at the moment. Thankfully, we have a place to stay for a few days. We have been talking to the Housing Alliance about finding a place to stay since before we moved out, but no luck so far. The waitlists for shelters are quite long. Hobbes is doing well. He seems to be happy as long as he is around us. We continue to ask that you help support us in any way possible, even by sharing this with your friends and family. Thank you ❤️

Update 1: Kerry and I want to express our gratitude to everyone who has donated and shared our request. It means a lot to us. I wanted to provide a few updates on our overall situation and how things have progressed since we first began this fundraiser. Kerry and I have continued to look for work and sources of income, though we have not had much luck. We currently do not own a vehicle, so transportation can sometimes be a challenge as well. However, one of our main concerns at the moment is finding a place to stay. We received notice from apartment management that our lease will not be renewed, so we are expected to vacate on or before June 25th. Right now, we have no idea where we will go or what we will do. We have been trying to figure out a plan, but we don't have one. Please, I ask that you continue to share this with everyone you know and, if possible, make a small donation. Anything helps, even just advice on what our next steps might be. Thank you so much for your time.

Hello, my name is Amanda and I am in need of your help. I have been facing some challenges over the last several months, including unexpected medical and life expenses. On April 1st, I was hospitalized with bilateral pulmonary embolism. This illness will require a long recovery, which is further complicated by my lack of medical insurance. These medical bills, along with other life expenses, have left me struggling to make ends meet.
To further complicate this situation, my husband and I are losing our apartment at the end of June. Due to our inability to keep up with our rent payments, the management company has chosen not to renew our lease. As of June 19th, my family will be homeless unless we figure out how to pay for a new place to live.
Despite my best efforts, I am unable to handle this situation on my own. Therefore, I humbly request your support. Your generosity and kindness would mean the world to me and help me get back on my feet. Thank you for considering my request and for being there for me during this difficult time.
