Help Amanda and Cory after Home Break-In

Sometimes the worst things happen to the best people. 2020 has been a challenging year for humanity as a whole and everyone as individuals. My sister Amanda and her husband Cory have weathered a particularly heavy year. They have faced some incredibly difficult situations and endured them with grace and strength. Through all they have shouldered this year, they have supported in significant ways those around them. Giving more than they ever take without question or complaint. On Christmas Eve, they were at a family member's home caring for a sick loved one, and they returned to their new home on Christmas to find that it, and their life, had been violated. Thoughtless people had broken into their home and stolen almost everything of value and a large part of their personal savings. The thieves had time, and they took their time. Their Christmas presents were taken. My brother in law's arborist work tools were stolen.

Now there's a pack of bandits out there with sharp chainsaws, so 2020 continues to deliver on the disasters.

These are self reliant people who don't ask for help, so when they asked us for some small things, we knew they were hurting. Through the pandemic, my sister and brother in law have made it a point to support a different local restaurant every week. When a fellow human's card was declined at the grocery store, Amanda bought their week's food. These are real, honest, caring, loving people who work hard for what they have, and who help those around them with everything they can. My sister asked me for a gaming console to replace one that was stolen, so her husband could have a small refuge to escape to and process. My brother in law asked for help with replacing Christmas presents and some self care for his wife. We're going to do better. They spend a good portion of their time shouldering other's burdens, and now they need a hand. Any amount is amazing, and we will be forever grateful. Thank you for your time and donation! Here's to a Happy New Year, and a much better 2021 for everyone!
