Hey y'all! My name is Amanda Fogg. I am raising money for me and my family to help with bills and medical costs as I navigate my health issues. On 11/17, I went to have bariatric surgery. When the surgeon got in there, he discovered that I have a tumor growing on my stomach, so the surgeon had to stop the surgery and consult with my husband, Chris, on whether to continue with the bariatric surgery or stop due to the risk of it spreading if it is cancer. So, my husband made the hard (and right) decision to stop the surgery. I was then referred to a surgical oncologist who is 60% sure that it's cancer. I am having a biopsy on 12/16 to confirm that it's cancer and the stage. On 12/18, I am having a CT scan to see if it has spread at all. Then once I get the results, we will be scheduling surgery to have the tumor removed. After that, I still have to have the bariatric surgery done, so I will be out of work even longer.

During all this, I am out of work, unpaid as I am per diem, so I do not qualify for short/long term disability. My husband is out of work waiting for his disability claim to be approved or denied.
