We’re Amanda, 26, and Alex, 28, a loving couple with a big dream—starting a family of our own. I am an elementary teacher finishing my Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. My husband is an assistant store manager of a grocery chain.
Many of you know that the last two years have been difficult for us medically as I dealt with diagnosing chronic pain (still undiagnosed). Despite that, we wanted to bring joy to our lives with a child. Over the past year, we’ve been on an emotional journey of trying to conceive.
After consulting with doctors and exploring our options, we’ve learned that we’ll need additional medical assistance to make our dream come true. I was diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve due to a low follicle count (3) and low AMH count (.625). For my age, I should have a follicle count of at least 12, and my AMH should be closer to 3.00. Unfortunately, the costs of fertility treatments, consultations, and other related expenses are more than we can manage alone, as our insurance does not consider fertility care essential.
That’s why we’re reaching out to our family, friends, and community for help. Your support—whether through a donation, sharing our story, or sending us positive thoughts—would mean the world to us. Every little bit brings us closer to building the family we’ve been dreaming of.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey.
With love and gratitude,
Amanda & Alex Wick
