Help Amalia Access Life-Changing Stem Cell Therapy

Donation protected
Our daughter Amalia is a bright, resilient little girl living with severe cerebral palsy (GMFCS Level V). This means she requires full assistance for mobility and daily activities, and faces significant physical challenges every single day. Despite this, Amalia meets the world with courage, determination, and a spirit that constantly reminds us how strong she truly is.

We have recently been accepted into a stem cell therapy program at Duke University in the United States, a globally respected institution leading research into regenerative medicine for children with neurological conditions like cerebral palsy.

Why Stem Cell Therapy Matters
Stem cell therapy is not a cure for cerebral palsy. We understand that clearly.
But growing clinical research shows that it may help improve quality of life by supporting brain repair and neural communication. For children like Amalia, this could mean:
- Improved muscle control and reduced stiffness
- Better head and trunk stability
- Increased comfort and reduced pain
- Improved communication or responsiveness
- Greater independence in daily life over time

Even small improvements can be life-changing. A little more comfort. A little more control. A little more ease in her day. For Amalia, those “little” things matter enormously.

Why We Need Help
This treatment is not available in Australia and is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance. The costs are significant and include:

- The stem cell therapy program itself
- International travel for our family
- Accommodation and living expenses during treatment
- Follow-up care and assessments

As parents, we will do anything within our power to give Amalia every possible opportunity. This journey is one filled with hope, but it is also financially overwhelming.

How You Can Help
By donating or sharing our story, you are helping us give Amalia a chance at a better quality of life. Your support brings us closer to accessing treatment that could help her move, feel, and experience the world with a little more freedom.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means just as much. Every act of kindness helps carry us forward.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Amalia’s story and for being part of her journey.
