Help Ammarae get back to her life ♥️

Hello,

My name is Alexis and as many of you may know, my niece was recently involved in a terrible accident. Ammarae was struck by a truck losing her foot and a portion of her leg at the scene. 

She was rushed to Upstate Hospital, in Syracuse New York, and brought straight into surgery in an attempt to save her leg/foot. Unfortunately, the doctors did all they could but ultimately had to remove even more of her leg in order to save her life.

Thankfully, she is now on the road to recovery and doing the very best she can.

It’s certainly going to be a difficult and long journey, but there’s no doubt this vibrant, 21-year-old girl will get back to a normal life. But right now, Ammarae needs our help. 

She is currently awaiting referrals for physical therapy and requires around the clock care till further notice. Our family has, of course, all stepped in to help but there are still countless doctor/rehab/physical therapy appointments and many obstacles ahead.  Our main goal is to transition the apartment over to be handicap accessible by winter.  She will solely rely on wheelchairs and crutches as it will be quite some time until a prosthetic comes into play.

This strong, independent girl wishes to stay in her own apartment (with help), this is her first place on her own which she moved into just 4 days before the accident.  I’d love to be able to let her choose what she wants and needs for her new place, and to help her get back to the life she originally planned prior to the accident.

So I’m asking if you can help, even the tiniest bit would be more appreciated than you can imagine. 

My niece, nor my family, have ever been one to ask for anything and are always the first to show up for anyone else bringing all their love and generosity.

Ammarae could use ALL the prayers and encouragement she can get right now, get well cards make her heart especially happy. If you have little ones, she’s a sucker for homemade kids cards!
