Help Alyx Begin His Medical Transition!

Hi, I'm Alyx. I use he/they pronouns and recently I've decided it's time for me to begin my medical transition. I've been out as transgender for about 4 years now and I've been waiting to be accepted to the UK gender services under the NHS for years now however this wait is nowhere near over.

I've got anywhere from another 1 to 5 years before I'll even get my first appointment but it's just not possible for me to wait that long. I've dealt with a lot of issues with my gender dysphoria which has severely impacted my mental health and left me feeling hopeless for my future at times. I've decided to begin self medicating my own testosterone which isn't extremely safe but it will only be until I'm able to get private help through GenderGP. The startup fees along with consultations, blood tests and prescriptions adds up to a good £300-£400 along with the £70ish a month to pay for my appointments, health checks and testosterone itself.

As someone who cannot currently work due to mental health issues, I don't have enough to pay that all myself with the benefits I'm on however I am turning 18 on the 22nd of June so I've decided to set up a GoFundMe in the hopes that maybe friends or family from in real life or from online may be able to help me out a little bit. I don't ask for presents from anyone for my birthday however if anyone is able to help, I'd really appreciate donations to this GoFundMe to help me begin my Hormone Replacement Therapy.

No pressure at all for anyone to donate as I know money can be tight at the moment however the option is there if anyone would like to.
