My son Alyster is 8 years old, gifted, and has both ADHD and autism. He loves science, Roblox, Disney Pixar shorts, golf, and riding his bike. Over the past year, Alyster has needed dental surgery for an infected top molar. The pain from this infection has made it hard for him to sleep and has caused him to be afraid of oral care. Despite a round of antibiotics, the infection remains, and his surgery is scheduled in just two weeks.

While Alyster is approved for full medical care assistance due to our financial hardship, this does not cover dental bills. The dentist portion of this surgery is not included, and the cost is more than we can manage. The surgery is critical because of the location and age of the infection. Top molars needing root canals can spread infection to the eyes and brain, making this a potentially life-threatening situation if left untreated.
