Help Alyssa's Journey Fighting Cancer

Our sister, Alyssa Cannavo, was diagnosed with breast cancer the week of Thanksgiving. Alyssa was going in for a routine doctor's appointment and two cancerous tumors were found. Alyssa is only 37 years old, with four young daughters ages 7, 5, 3 and 10 months old.

Alyssa has started chemotherapy already with the possibility of radiation to follow. The two cancerous tumors are actually two different types of breast cancer (HER2 positive and HER2 negative), which means she will undergo 2 different chemotherapy treatments. She will then have surgery and possible radiation to follow. The majority of 2024 will be spent treating cancer, and having several recovery surgeries. The doctors treating Alyssa are confident in the treatment plan they have for her, and believe she will be able to fight this current diagnosis.

We are hoping to raise funds for the Cannavo family to relieve their financial stress at this time. They feel lucky to have insurance that covers a lot of the treatment but there will be additional medical expenses they have already experienced because of this diagnosis.

Proceeds will go towards the following:

-medical tests and treatments not covered by insurance

-medications not covered by insurance

-buying a wig and medical supplies

-any other financial burdens that they might come across throughout their continued cancer journey.
