Hi there! I’m Alyssa’s Mom and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help fund Alyssa’s Broadway Experience in New York City this June. Alyssa has been passionate about the performing arts since she was very young. Her dedication and drive have only increased in intensity as she’s gotten older. This isn’t just a hobby. This is her passion.

Performing arts is what Alyssa wants to do as a career. She is wildly passionate about it. In addition to maintaining above a 4.0 GPA in her education at a Performing Arts High School where she is a vocal major, Alyssa also takes 11 classes per week after school in dance, acting, and voice. She stays very busy. Thanks to the help and support of her vocal studio, Kentucky Arts Academy, and her dance and acting studio, Performing Arts Louisville, Alyssa auditioned and was accepted into On Stage Collective’s New York Cabaret. This is a HUGE deal and a great honor for a girl who dreams of performing on the Broadway stage one day!

Alyssa and I will travel to New York City at the end of June where Alyssa will work with professional theatrical staff and a cast of talented artists. She will meet and be trained by Broadway Guest Artists in addition to having a special Meet & Greet with casting agents, directors, and colleges from around the New York area. Alyssa will finish off the event by performing at The Green Room 42 in New York City, in the heart and soul of the NY Theater District.

When Alyssa is not rehearsing and attending Master Classes in voice and dance, we’ll get to attend a couple of Broadway shows (a bucket list item for me so I’m stoked about it), visit The Broadway Museum, The Empire State Building, and take in the sights and sounds (and FOOD) in the heart of New York City. This is truly the experience of a lifetime! The connections she will make and the experiences she will have will be incredible and she will remember this trip for the rest of her life.

This one is going to be pricey. I didn’t fundraise last year when she got into the University of Cincinnati Musical Theater Summer Intensive, but this one…I cannot pull this one off without some help and support from all of you. Please consider donating some money to this cause. Funds donated will be used entirely to pay for the cost of the Broadway Intensive itself, the round-trip flights, the hotel stay, and the food and cab fare to get to the different events.
