My name is Alyssa. I’ve gone back and forth on whether to share this, but life has pushed me to a point where I need help, and I’m trying to accept that it’s okay to ask.

On August 26th, 2025, I lost the love of my life, Jason. He was my partner, my best friend, and the person who made me feel safe. His passing shattered my world, and I’ve been doing my best to keep going one day at a time.

On top of that, I recently lost my job. It wasn’t expected, and losing that stability while still grieving has been incredibly difficult. I’m looking for new work, but right now I’m struggling to stay afloat financially while trying to rebuild my life.

i am also currently without insurance which has made it even harder to access basic care and stay stable while I work toward rebuilding.

Despite everything, I haven’t given up on my future. I’m currently studying for the TEAS test because I want to go into nursing school. Helping people has always been in my heart, and I’m determined to build a career that I can be proud of — something stable, meaningful, and healing.

I’m also caring for my dog (Jason’s dog) Sammie, who has been my emotional support through the hardest moments. She’s the reason I get out of bed some days.

Any support — even just sharing this — would make a huge difference. Funds will help me cover basic living expenses such as food, bills, gas, and study materials while I search for work, continue studying, and work toward nursing school.
