Hi! My name is Alyssa Hodgdon. I am a 26 year old mother of an amazing 3 year old boy, Levi. For most of my life, I have been battling a severe eating disorder, which I have tried to defeat many times. I have been in treatment at Laureate Treatment Center in Tulsa for the last 3 months, and I have been working my hardest to recover for myself, my son, my family, and my friends.

I have made so much progress here with the support of my team and my peers, but I still have a long way to go before I am well enough to leave. Though I have made great strides, I am still medically unstable. My treatment team has expressed great concern for me if I have to cut my time in treatment short. However, my insurance has decided to no longer cover my treatment here. I will have to completely wipe out my savings in order to stay in treatment and recover fully. I am on my own financially, and I have been unable to work due to being in treatment. 

It's been extremely challenging for me to reach out for support, but I have realized that this treatment is lifesaving for me, and life-altering for my loved ones. I am more than thankful for any donation that anyone can give, whether it's a dollar, a prayer, or a share. 

I want to build a healthy, fully-functioning life for myself and my son. I also want my loved ones to know that I have never been more dedicated to recovery, to creating a healthier life, and to rebuilding the relationships that this vicious disorder has stolen from me for far too long. I can't stress enough how motivated I am to make all of you proud,  to share my story, and to continue to be an advocate for mental health.
