Help Alyssa and Her Son After the Tornado Devastation

Hi family & friends! I am Tab, step-mom♡ to Alyssa Bopp. For the gofundme validity settings, I added a picture of us with her last month. We live in Springfield MO and our daughter and grandson live in STL.

This is their apartment which you may have seen on the local or national news. Frank and I have helped how we're able to help but the devastation has turned her world upside down financially and emotionally. We first want to give God glory that our daughter and our grandson are alive and safe!! They were not home during the tornado or the devastation would have been a tragedy.

They are beyond blessed baby boy was not home, near his bedroom window. The windows were blown out and shards of glass completely covered his room. The tornado ripped the roof off down to the drywall ceiling and even farther. Now with the rain happening tonight, it is likely any remaining roof and ceiling will collapse. They have to leave, decide what's essential, and take what they can. They have been without power since Friday and ordering take out has depleted money that was to cover other important living expenses.

We are asking for financial help for anyone able. No financial blessing is too small. Right now, it's unknown how long they will be displaced and will be starting over after losing most everything. Having to cover costs up unto the day of the tornado was already on a strictly tight budget so the loss of food, essentials, and important belongings are needless to say going to put them further into a very tough financial position for quite a while.

It is difficult to put a dollar amount of their losses so early on but we are asking for help to help her cover the cost of temporary shelter, meals, transportation, and any other emergencies that arise.

*5/20/25 edit: the kitchen ceiling completely caved in (picture added) and they're no longer allowed to enter to retrieve any belongings which she she feels is even worse knowing there are some things that are still okay, but they just have to leave them behind...they're going to have to start completely over.
