Help Alysha Recover After Animal Attack and Loss of Work
Donation protected
Early Thursday morning, August 21st, my sister’s life was turned upside down when she was viciously attacked by a pitbull right outside her home. What should have been a normal walk outside, turned into a terrifying and traumatic event that left her physically injured, emotionally shaken, and unable to work.
She was attacked in numerous parts of her body, with most of her injury to the back of her head.
Paramedics and Vancouver Police Department arrived on the scene very quickly and neighbours compressed her and kept her alive while awaiting their arrival. Alysha was then transported to hospital shortly after, where she received medical procedures to staple and stitch her up. Alysha has 35 staples in the back of her head, in addition to numerous stitches in her head and leg. She is so incredibly lucky to be alive today.
She is now facing not only the pain and recovery from this attack, but also the sudden and unexpected loss of income. My sister is a hardworking, independent person who has always been there for others, and it breaks my heart to see her struggling during this difficult time.
We are asking for support to help cover her immediate living expenses, lost wages, medical costs, and recovery needs while she takes the time to heal. Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a difference in easing her stress and helping her focus on what truly matters: her recovery.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by her during this difficult chapter.
We can't thank our community enough for the help they have already shown us.
