Help Alyse and Grace to move toward the future

Hello,

Our names are Anneliese and Izzy, and we are fundraising money in honor of our Auntie Ena (Christina Hawley) who recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. Anyone who knew her knew just how kind, caring, and loving she was. Since the day we were born, Christina treated us as nothing other than her family, and she did the same thing for many others. She cared for people wholeheartedly, and without reserve - she was a safe haven for the downtrodden and the lost, and would take in anyone who needed love. She had the best listening ear, and the most comforting shoulder to cry on. She gave the best advice, and always wanted to hear about anything happening in your life. She adopted her granddaughter Grace in the wake of her daughter Meshayla's passing, and loved her with her whole heart. In recent years, she has battled with diabetes, autoimmune disease, kidney failure, and cancer. She held on so tightly, and fought so bravely through intense pain and adversity in order to be there for the people that she felt needed her.

In honor of her memory, we wanted to help Grace, and Christina's other daughter Alyse, face the future without their mom. Christina's medical bills made it difficult to be able to save for a college fund for Grace, so we want to be able to provide Grace with the ability to do what she wants with her future. Anything we could add to the mutual fund started for her by our parents, (Grace's Uncle Guy and Auntie Veronica), for her education would make a world of difference. We also would love the financial support to help her adjust to a life that will look very different to the one she previously knew. Overnight, Grace went from being an only child to being one of six children. She will be living with Alyse, her husband Aaron, and their other five children. Alyse and Aaron have been saving up to try and eventually move into a bigger home, but with Christina passing, the timeline has had to be moved up significantly. They are now a family of eight currently living in a three bedroom space, and are in desperate need of more room. In addition, Alyse has been working as Christina's caregiver for the last few years, and is now taking a break from working in order to care for her family, to try and make sure Grace's transition goes as well as it can, and to grieve for a life spent without her mom. Alyse would also like to be able to provide mental health services for Grace to help her cope with the loss of her Mimi (Christina), who was Grace's whole entire world.

Christina's family meant everything to her, and she fought every single day for years against insurmountable pain and fatigue in order to be there for the people she loved. In her final days, her only concern was for her family - she wanted to know that they would be okay without her, and that they would be taken care of. We are trying to honor her only wish by loving and supporting Grace and Alyse in any way that we can. Any and all contributions would be appreciated beyond compare.
