Our dear friend Alvaro needs our help! Alvaro is a dancer, an artist, and a bodyworker. Since 2012, he's called New York City home and is a vibrant member of his community of artists, friends and movement people.

On the opening night of a dance performance, Alvaro injured himself. He had a full rupture of his Achilles tendon (ouch!), and he subsequently had surgery. Luckily insurance has covered the cost of surgery.

Alvaro will be unable to walk for 3 - 6 weeks, and then he will be able to walk with a boot. He will be unable to work for 3 - 6 months!

Alvaro supports himself primarily through bodywork and dancing. Because he will be unable to work, he needs our help to get him through his healing journey.

We're hoping to raise $12,000 to help pay his rent, utilities, food, and transportation to the doctor and physical therapist.
