UPDATE: THANKSGIVING 2020
So much has happened since our Grand Opening on March 1, 2020! At that time, we knew that we had something special and, boy, has it been a wild ride. Through all the uncertainties and obstacles of 2020, we have learned to walk the walk, not just talk the talk! As the Premier Ninja Warrior Obstacle Training Gym in Southern Colorado, Altitude Ninja Gym strives to support our community by providing a safe environment for kids and adults of all ages (1-101) to challenge themselves physically and mentally by training to overcome ninja warrior-style obstacles.
Altitude Ninja Gym is not your old gym, nor is it just a kids' gym. With almost 10,000 square feet of obstacles, Altitude Ninja Gym remains ready to train athletes new to the sport of Ninja and to challenge pros and future American Ninja Warriors.
However, Altitude Ninja Gym needs your help to truly weather the obstacles of COVID. As a family-owned small business, we are aware of the very real choices our community is making — whether to stay at home and isolate or to find safe opportunities to keep ourselves, our children, and our families emotionally, mentally, and physically healthy. For now ... we get to keep our doors open, which means that we can continue to provide a safe outlet for physical movement and a brief escape for the release of energy. Unfortunately, it is inevitable that we will be forced to close our doors again.
Altitude Ninja Gym has a lot for which to be THANKFUL! Each month since our Grand Opening in March and our reopening in June has been better and better. November has been our BEST month! We’ve added obstacles, members, classes, and programs. We have also met many amazing friends, Altitude Ninja families, and community members and we are THANKFUL for all of you!
We are so thankful for the loans and grant that we received as well as the support of our families and community, which helped us weather our 3-month closure and slow re-opening. Sadly, we have the same concerns now as we did then, but with no signs of additional support from local, state, or federal programs.
With only 10 people allowed in the gym at a time, including staff, and an inevitable closure with a slow re-opening, we need your immediate assistance to help us cover our expenses during this continued crisis, provide assistance to our employees, and provide us with enough cash on-hand to re-open once we make it through. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and help us reach our ultimate goal, which is to remain Southern Colorado's premier ninja obstacle training community where people of all ages challenge their bodies and minds to overcome obstacles while making health, fitness, and overall well-being fun and attainable.

ORIGINAL STORY (before the face-covering requirement)
Altitude Ninja is a ninja warrior-style, obstacle course training gym in Colorado Springs. We have been closed since March 17 due to shut down orders necessitated by the global health crisis. When we were open, we provided a fun and challenging venue for people of all ages (5-105) to work on their fitness using obstacles like those found on American Ninja Warrior and in obstacle course racing, like Spartan. We offered Open Gym drop-ins as well as organized classes for athletes age 5 and up.
We are a brand new small business (our Grand Opening celebration was February 29th and March 1st) and now we find ourselves in a very challenging situation. We are unsure as to when we will be able to open, and once we are open, it may take some time for customers to be comfortable working out at Altitude Ninja.
Our amazing members have provided a little relief, and we have applied for local and federal grants and loans. However, we have no idea when or if these funds will be received, or if they will be sufficient to cover our expenses given the uncertain length of our mandatory closure. And we worry whether it makes financial sense for us to take out any loans without any indication of when we can re-open or generate meaningful income to pay them off.
As a brand new small business, my family has already invested our life savings on startup costs. We are low on cash to pay our rent, utilities, payroll, and other expenses. Therefore, if our gym is going to survive, the need is immediate.
We are using this fundraising campaign to ask for your immediate support to help us cover our expenses during this crisis, provide assistance to our employees, and provide us with enough cash on-hand to re-open once we make it through.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and help us reach our ultimate goal, which is to create a premier ninja warrior, obstacle training community where people of all ages challenge their bodies and minds to overcome obstacles while making health, fitness, and overall well-being fun and attainable.
