Hi, my name is Peter and I am raising funds for Altheo and his family who are presently battling a life threatening disease that has unexpectedly stricken their family. Altheo is a sweet and happy 4 year old boy who was full of vigor and energy. A couple weeks ago, his health started to decline. On November 21, 2021 at 1am, he was taken by ambulance to Sick Kids Hospital and by 6:30am he was diagnosed with Leukaemia. According to the doctors, there are only two types of leukemia that commonly afflict children. Tragically, Altheo has both. His mother hasn’t left his bedside. Everyday, his father has been driving for approximately an hour and a half between hospital appointments and their home to take care of their other 9 year old son. Altheo is going through a series of aggressive chemotherapy and taking several medications. As a result, both of Altheo’s parents have to take leave from their respective jobs to take on this unfortunate event that has befallen their family. Altheo’s stay at the hospital has been expected to last for at least a month.

My wife and I have been a part of Altheo and his brother’s lives from the day they were born that they call us Mommy and Daddy. Understandably, their family unit feels dejected but hopeful that they will overcome this luekemia.

The funds that we are raising will assist with traveling and to help with bills ie: Mortage, house hold bills.

My hope is to give them some Christmas spirit through these trying times.
