My name is Althea, and as my 16 year old daughter embarks on her journey of becoming cured of her sickle cell disease by getting a bone marrow transplant, I have to be here with her in the hospital to help her through this difficult time in her life. I am unable to work during the most difficult time for her from the months of June to September when she will have to be here in the hospital.
