Anyone who knows Althea knows her heart. She has spent her life caring for others’ newborns, giving families peace, rest, and love during their most vulnerable days. Her warmth, wisdom, and devotion have brought comfort to countless families over the years. Now, she’s the one who needs our care.

In August 2022, Althea received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer. Despite the fear and pain, she continues to face each day with courage, grace, and faith. But the continued battle is overwhelming — physically, emotionally, and financially.

Between aggressive treatments, medical bills, travel costs for appointments, and time away from work, the financial burden has become too heavy to carry alone.

Every year, she organizes a school drive to provide children with essential supplies, ensuring they can start the year with hope and dignity. She personally travels to Guyana to deliver these items — along with clothing and other necessities for those less fortunate.

Her generosity knows no bounds — she gives quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly.

Beyond her incredible work and giving spirit, Althea is a devoted mother of four, a loving wife, and a proud grandmother. Her family is her heart, and she continues to pour her love into them and everyone she meets, even while facing her own battle.
