My name is Aloys, and I'm on a mission to revolutionize wine education in Kenya. Having taught WSET courses in Nairobi, I've been accepted into the prestigious WSET Diploma program at the Austrian Wine Academy - a critical step toward becoming Kenya's first certified WSET educator at this level. This program will graduate me as a Weinakademiker, qualifying me to teach advanced WSET courses locally and eventually pursue the Master of Wine program.

The impact speaks for itself, my WSET Level 2 students have secured jobs as junior sommeliers and earned promotions in hotels, restaurants and cruise ships. Yet advanced training remains inaccessible to most Kenyans. The €9,045 tuition (plus travel costs) will enable me to teach WSET Level 3 and Diploma courses right here in Nairobi, eliminating the need for expensive study abroad.

Ik ben Aloys en wil wijnonderwijs in Kenia transformeren. Na jaren WSET-cursussen te geven in Nairobi, ben ik toegelaten tot het WSET Diploma-programma aan de Austrian Wine Academy - een cruciale stap om Kenia's eerste gecertificeerde WSET-docent op dit niveau te worden. Dit programma certificeert me als Wineakademiker, waarmee ik gevorderde WSET-cursussen lokaal kan geven en uiteindelijk het Master of Wine-programma kan nastreven.
