Help Alonzo Townsend buy a new computer after devastating tornadoes destroyed his home and its contents.

Alonzo is the son of legendary Blues musician, Henry Townsend, and he has dedicated his own life to building community and support for other musicians.

Alonzo is my mother's godson, and she has known him since he was a baby, from back in the days when she lived in St. Louis and played music with Alonzo's father, Henry. She and Alonzo have maintained their close relationship for 38 years. Alonzo has two wonderful children, aged seventeen and six. He was awaiting his son's arrival when a tree came crashing down into the living room, destroying his home, car, computer, and many other household items. He sustained an injury to his foot as he was trying to get his bearings during the storm.

Alonzo is a smart, loving, energetic, generous, hardworking man whose life has not been easy, and he has received a terrible setback in these last days.

The current political climate, which is defunding grants and support for the arts, has already impacted his livelihood, and he has not been able to maintain his insurance payments.
