Life can be like baseball. No matter how closely you follow the rules, you can still get a wild ball that throws the whole game into chaos. My name is Alonda Montgomery, living in Alabama currently, and I had one of those moments six months ago. On May first, I lost my beloved secular job of almost five years. I have been looking for work ever since. Despite multiple interviews all over the country, I was not able to find anything for a very long time. Finally, two weeks ago, I was able to secure a job in another city. Thus, I will be moving to Austin, TX next week both to start the new job on Nov 11th, but also to tend to some urgent confidential family matters. However, having been without income for so long, I have completely run out of resources to make the move. This means I will need financial assistance to cover the outstanding bills that must be paid before I leave and all moving costs. Bills, plus moving truck and car dolly, movers on both ends, and storage unit for my things since the home I will be staying in is furnished, I need to raise $4000. To break that amount down: truck is $1000, people to load and unload truck are $500, gas, food, and hotel on the road are $500, storage will be $500 for deposit, and outstanding Alabama bills come to $1500. I need to pick up the truck and pay for movers by November 5th. Also, if anyone knows of a short-term foster for my dogs, I would be extremely grateful.
Anything anyone can contribute to the moving fund will be greatly appreciated. Thank you to anyone who can give. To all others, thank you for your support in prayer and thought.
Thanks in advance, y’all.
