Help Aloisia Access Urgent Medical Care

Dear Friends and Community,

We are reaching out for support for Aloisia and Kevin, who are facing immense challenges both medically and financially.

On March 9th, their home was flooded, causing the loss of essential household items and food. While their car has been replaced through insurance, they are still awaiting assessment for flood grants, leaving many financial uncertainties.

At the same time, Aloisia has a new and unexpected diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer and is preparing for lifelong chemotherapy. She has chosen to receive treatment in Hervey Bay. As a non-permanent resident, she may face significantly higher medical expenses, and they are still awaiting clarity on hospital bills from her recent TPCH transfer.

Aloisia has no sick leave available, and while social workers are exploring income protection, there is no guarantee of financial support. Kevin, who relies on work for their household income, has also experienced financial strain due to the flood.

This fundraiser aims to help with:

• Medical expenses, including those around chemotherapy and hospital bills

• Travel and accommodation costs around treatment

• Essential living expenses while Aloisia is unable to work

• Immediate support for replacing lost household essentials
