Help the Almazo Family Pay for Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Last November Saul Almazo was walking home from the store after work as per usual. Unfortunately he suffered a sudden heart attack, fell in the street, and began to convulse. Luckily a good Smartian noticed him and provided CPR. However it was too late, due to lack of oxygen he suffered an Anoxic Brain Injury, and is currently living with brain damage specifically to his left parietal lobe. On January, 20, 2021, Saul was discharged from the hospital, and is currently at home with his wife and son.
This gofundme was started by his friends & family to help with the expenses needed to keep a person in his condition clean, stable, and comfortable. While at home he is being provided 24/7 oxygen therapy, along with daily exercises required to help move, stretch, and strengthen his body. As of 1/26/21 he does show small signs of awareness such as eye movement/tracking, response to sudden noises or touch, and the ability to move his feet and arms from time to time. The incredible outpour of support and words of encouragement have helped his family make it through these tough trials, however the long and tedious journey of recovery for Saul has only just begun.
So please if you could find it in your heart to help a great father and amazing person, it would be greatly appreciated, by sending in a donation or by simply sharing the gofundme link across your social media platforms. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.
