Help Alma Fight Severe Lung Infections

Hello! I am Alma! I have cystic fibrosis and currently fighting severe bacterial lung infections, 2 strains of pseudomonas and staphylococcus.

Medical doctors have been unable to eradicate these infections with antibiotics. These infections have caused scar tissue in my lungs resulting in loss of lung function and irreversible damage. I am currently sitting at 39% lung function and needing IV antibiotics every 3 months to keep them “at bay”. The infections are causing so much stress to my body and taking a toll on my immune system.

These infections are also growing resistant to antibiotics resulting in a smaller list of antibiotics that are working to keep them at bay. My body has also created allergies to a few antibiotics, dwindling the list down even smaller.

I’m afraid I am running out of medical options. The next option, when antibiotics fail and lung function decreases, is lung transplant. I am fighting to prolong transplant as long as I can, as transplant comes with its own set of challenges.

After much research and consulting with my restorative health doctors, I have decided to undergo IV OZONE, IV vitamin C, along with some other natural treatments. Unfortunately these are not covered by insurance and are quite expensive.

I am choosing to try everything I can to eradicate these infections, not only for myself, but for my husband and future family. There’s nothing we want more than to have a family, wether that is through pregnancy, adoption or fostering. We have so much love to give, however me being in good health is our biggest struggle in starting a family.

My husband Aaron works extremely hard to provide for us. He works 2 jobs and has the most sincere servant heart. I am truly blessed! I know he would do anything, and sacrifice anything, to help me receive these treatments.

NOTE: We want to be extremely transparent with everyone about the costs and what exactly the money will be spent on.

IV OZONE is $495 a session. Each session blood is pulled out, passed through UV rays, ozone is added, and then back into my body. We do 5 passes of this cycle in each session. To treat the severe infections, we would like to do 6-8 sessions.

IV vitamin c and other infusions will cost $150-$250 a session. We foresee needing 4-6 sessions.
