Help Allyson's family through her surgery

My name is John Kain and I am fundraising to help our family through my wife's upcoming surgery and recovery.

My wife Allyson has a brain tumor. Unfortunately, hers is a rare variety that is cystic and fast growing and is impacting her brain and brainstem. She needs to have surgery to remove it. Due to the tumor, she has permanently lost hearing in her right ear and has significant balance issues.

Allyson will be having neurosurgery in Arlington, VA and will probably be hospitalized for a week. I will be staying in a hotel during her hospital stay post surgery so that I can be with her while she is in the hospital. She will be in recovery after her hospital stay for about two months and will require balance therapy after that.

We have have two sons, 10 and 13 years old. They're having a rough time with the idea of their mom having brain surgery as well. At this time, Allyson is expected to be out of work for at least 10 weeks.

This will have a significant financial impact on our lives.
