Disabled SAHM Needs a Divorce Lawyer
My friend of 29 years, Ally*, is going through a messy divorce from her abusive husband. Ally has been a dutiful wife and mother and a military care-giver to her wounded warrior husband, despite being physical and emotionally abused during most of their marriage. Even after Ally's husband abandoned her and the kids for three months, it wasn't until she learned that she was not the only victim of her husband's abuse, and that he hurt her children, that she ended her marriage.
Ally* has been a stay-at-home mom of 4 kids, 2 of which are autistic, for 15 years and has no income of her own. Although she is looking for a job that can accomodate her disabilities, she is struggling to raise money to pay for a lawyer to get a fair divorce settlement and legal custody of her four children ages 14, 9, 7 and 5 years old. She needs to raise $12,000 for a retainer to secure a divorce lawyer.
Any contribution you can make, be it $1, or $10 or $100, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
*Ally is a pseudonym as my friend as requested to remain anonymous for fear of retribution from her estranged husband.
