Hi everyone, my name is Ally. On 9/27, my sweet baby girl Layla slipped out of her harness during one of our daily walks and darted into the thick brush behind my apartment complex. This “brush” is basically an overgrown jungle, full of thorns, vines, and branches. I’m terrified she may be trapped in there.

Layla isn’t just a pet to me. She’s my family, my comfort, and my best friend. I’ve spent countless hours outside searching, setting up trail cameras, leaving food, and calling for her, but with the highway so close by, I wouldn’t be able to hear her cries even if she’s stuck. The thought of her tangled in thorns, scared, hungry, and without water is breaking me.

Right now, the best chance of finding her quickly is to hire a professional with an infrared drone to detect her body heat through the brush. Unfortunately, the only available team is not from the area, and the cost for them to come out is $450, something that’s really difficult for me to cover as a full-time student.

I am absolutely desperate to bring Layla home safely. She’s out there somewhere depending on me, and I refuse to give up on her.
